Leaving highly motivated last Sunday, Pieter was one of the first to cross the starting line and get into this 8th edition.
During the tough crossing of the Bay of Biscay, Pieter has faced a few minor technical problems (troubles with the GV hook), fortunately these were quickly resolved. Somewhat distanced during these first 48 hours, he now accelerates along the Portuguese coast and slowly catches up some miles on his competitors.
According to the latest official rankings (at 11am UTC), Pieter was ranked 25th, at the speed of 12 knots.
